The Importance of Feminist HCI

The importance of feminist HCI - how feminism in HCI and design can influence users. Feminist design may influence not only its users but also more generally society. Through analysing three examples of feminist design within human-computer interaction (HCI), it becomes clear how designers and researchers have an important ethical responsibility to include feminist perspectives in their design processes. The analysis also shows, how this needs to be done with care and a certain level of flexibility towards the needs of different women.
